Harlow have supplied the Personal Child Health Record (PCHR) for over 30 years. As members of the appointed expert working group, alongside the Department of Health (DH) and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), we are responsible for ensuring that the content is both current and relevant in today’s fast moving health environment.

The Personal Child Health Record (PCHR), also known as the Red Book, is given to parents or carers’ at a child’s birth to record their health and development. Harlow supply based on the national PCHR with some local changes and information. The PCHR contains a record of child’s injections including immunisations and vaccinations and is regularly reviewed to ensure content remains relevant.

Using experience of over 30 years developing products to support the NHS, Harlow developed a Digital Redbook. Our work over the years as members of the appointed expert working group, alongside the Department of Health (DH) and Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), on the PCHR, growth charts and digital iGROW child growth software, formed the platform to go one step further in the development of the Digital Redbook.

Working with expert paediatricians, we applied a clinical approach and experience developing digital child health products to design the Digital Redbook.
