Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion booklet for London hospital
"Harlow’s professional design brought our Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) Strategy Booklet to life, reflecting our vision and staying within the NHS brand guidelines.”
The Customer
The customer, an established NHS University Hospital, wanted to transform an official, clinical document into a visually appealing 32-page A4 booklet.
The Challenge
The project faced several challenges:
Sourcing and approving envelopes, tickets and stickers along with sufficient overstock to ensure smooth processing.
Working with the client’s Downstream Access Provider (DSA) on 11,200 tray deliveries, planning phased delivery and collection to effectively manage storage space.
Processing client data and creating live data proofs according to the laser brief before mailsort order printing and creating Sequence Enclosing Packs (SEPs) for client approval.
The Plan
We created and executed the following plan:
Creative Process:
Sourcing and approving envelopes, tickets and stickers along with sufficient overstock to ensure smooth processing.
Working with the client’s Downstream Access Provider (DSA) on 11,200 tray deliveries, planning phased delivery and collection to effectively manage storage space.
Processing client data and creating live data proofs according to the laser brief before mailsort order printing and creating Sequence Enclosing Packs (SEPs) for client approval.
Using three insertion packs during pack fulfilment. Cold packs were sent to the finishing department for manual pen insertion, while warm packs were trayed and labelled, ready for collection.
The Results
The final booklet achieved a professional and modern design that accurately reflected the Trust’s vision for its 2022-2028 Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion strategy. It featured:
NHS Brand Colours: Ensured consistency with NHS branding.
Diverse Photography: Highlighted the diversity within the NHS, enhancing the booklet's visual appeal.
This project demonstrated our ability to turn a complex and minimal brief into a comprehensive and engaging document, aligning perfectly with the NHS’s branding and vision.
